Alturas Technology Park
Nestled among wheat fields, Alturas Technology Park offers high tech business park amenities in a tranquil atmosphere.  As a partner in the PKC, Alturas is located in the Corridor, is just 7 miles from the nearest regional airport and is within 10 miles of two major universities.  This unique business park also offers access to the local fiber-optic network and a public park.  Come to Alturas to join like-minded research and technology businesses.  Several lots are available.  Do good business and live the good life at Alturas Technology Park. 

 

 

  


Port of Whitman Business Air Center (POWBAC)
POWBAC consists of 34 acres divided into 12 lots directly adjacent to the general aviation airport. All utilities, including fiber optic access, are available on site. Several lots are currently available to lease or purchase.  The Business Air Center is a small general aviation airport acquired by the port in 2002. The port has improved the existing airport with two new t-hangars, tie-down spaces, and new paving on the runway, taxiways and hangar areas of the site.  Aviation fuel is available through a private party on site. There is also space for private hangar development. Truck and direct air access available on site. Rail siding access located within 1 mile.

 

 


Pullman Industrial Park

University of Idaho Business Technology Incubator

The University of Idaho Business Technology Incubator is a 17,000 square foot facility located adjacent to the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, Idaho.  The Incubator provides first-class, affordable space and an array of support services for young growing companies.  Spaces available for lease range from single offices to 3,000 square foot office suites. 




 

 

 





Washington State University Research Park

Located approximately 1 mile from the WSU campus, the WSU Research and Technology Park is comprised of two technology transfer facilities.  Building one, a 50.000 square foot building is occupied by growing companies.  Building one also contains a 5,000 square foot incubator for small, start-up companies.  Building two, completed in 1998, is the home of many companies, some of which graduated from the incubator facility.  Building two offers amenities to Research Park tenants such as a weight room and two conference rooms. 

Low-Cost Energy
Energy costs in the Palouse are well below other parts of the Country.  In today’s market of rising energy prices, this can provide a competitive advantage to your company and add to your bottom line.  Avista Utilities, a leader in energy generation and conservation in the Inland Northwest, is a major provider of electricity and natural gas in the Palouse.  Clearwater Power and Inland Power and Light also provide affordable energy to the Region.

Connectivity
The Palouse Knowledge Corridor is connected.  A redundant network of fiber optic cable, satellite, and traditional telecommunications infrastructure provides state-of-the-art access to the world.  Internet Service Providers are knowledgeable and varied to supply custom connections for your business.
 
Transportation
You can get there from here.  Air, ground, and waterway shipping options are available and competitive.  The major north-south highways are U.S. 195 in Washington and U.S. 95 in Idaho.  These highways provide access to Interstate 90 in Spokane, Washington and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  

Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport
When your business takes you out of the Palouse, you can get there easily and efficiently from the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport.  Horizon Air provides direct flights to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Boise, and Lewiston, Idaho. Flight schedules are timed for convenient connections to Alaska Airlines and a variety of partner airlines, including American, Delta, Northwest, and Continental.  General Aviation services are provided by a Fixed Based Operator and include charter services, flight instruction, and airplane repair and maintenance.

Spokane International Airport
Located one hour drive from the Palouse, Spokane International Airport is Washington’s second largest international airport.  More than 3 million passenger and nearly 56,000 tons of cargo move through the airport annually.  Alaska, America West, Big Sky, Delta, Frontier, Horizon, Skywest, United, and United Express operate daily flights out of the Airport.

Ground Shipping Service
The PKC is served by Federal Express, United Parcel Service, and DHL shipping services on a daily basis.  Regional and local trucking companies provide freight shipping service on a national and global level.  

Highways
The major north-south highways in the PKC are U.S. 195 in Washington and U.S. 95 in Idaho.  Traveling north on these highways provide access to Interstate 90 in Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  Traveling south provides access to Interstate 84 in Boise, Idaho.

Additionally, State Route 26 runs west from Colfax and connects with U.S. 395, and on to Interstate 90 at Vantage. This is a major route west to Seattle. 

Ports
Within a thirty mile drive from the PKC, the Port of Lewiston, Idaho and the Ports of Clarkston and Wilma, Washington provide water shipping access to the Columbia and Snake River System.  Cargo moved through these ports access ocean shipping at Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington.
