These scholars include members of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering, nationally recognized authors, and pioneers and leaders in their fields.

“I originally came to Washington State University because of the caliber of the faculty and the international reach of the infectious diseases research here.  I’ve stayed because of the opportunities to work with extraordinary colleagues in state-of-the-art facilities where your only limits are your own abilities.  The administrations have had the vision to see how research and teaching here can impact the world.  To top it off, Pullman and the region offer a quality of life both from the aspect of the emphasis on education and the close proximity to my favorite outdoor activities, skiing, kayaking, and mountaineering.”
